Man arrested after reports of suspect jumping out of first floor window of Grantham jewellers

A man has been arrested after a suspect was seen jumping out of the first floor window of a Grantham jewellers this afternoon.

Police says they were called to reports of an incident at John Cussell Jewellers in Westgate, Grantham, just after 1pm.

A man was seen acting suspiciously and reported to be seen jumping out of an upstairs window of the jewellers.

Police have since arrested a man on suspicion of burglary and attempted robbery.

Police are currently at the jewellers conducting investigations and examining the scene.

They are appealing to anyone who was in the Westgate area of Grantham and who saw any suspicious activity this afternoon to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 169 of February 4. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
