Man arrested in Long Bennington for being four times over drink-drive limit

A drink driver was found to be four times over the limit when he crashed his vehicle in Long Bennington this morning (Thursday)

Members of the public stopped the driver until the police arrived.

Sergeant Dan McCormack praised the public for their swift response.

He tweeted: "Great work by members of the public who stopped a drunk male who lost control of his vehicle in Long Bennington this morning.

Driver will be spending the day in custody #DontDrinkAndDrive."
