Man charged with murder following death of Marston girl

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 16-year-old girl from Marston.

Nottinghamshire Police charged the 23-year-old man with murder yesterday evening (Tuesday).

James Morton, of Pierson Street, Newark, was arrested after officers attended his home address in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr Morton was remanded into custody this morning by Nottingham magistrates to appear tomorrow at Nottingham Crown Court charged with murder.

Hannah Pearson, from Marston, was taken from the address by ambulance but was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
