Lincolnshire Police says the arrested man remains in custody and will be questioned in due course.

Witnesses reported several ambulances and police cars attended the scene.

Liam Mills posted on Facebook: "This town honestly...Market Place all taped off and about eight police cars and three ambulances all at one scene. Then in another incident a group of lads have an altercation and you have half a dozen coppers watching it happen. Pick up a fare and when I return to the rank one of the lads is on the floor with blood p*****g from his head, no police in sight."

Anybody who can help police with their investigation should call 101, quoting incident 482 of February 28.
