His mum, Lucinda Thorpe, 30, of Sandcliffe Road, Grantham, said: “I’m so pleased!

“I like to see the competition in the Journal every year, I like to see everybody all together.

“Albert has a lot of little fans – he’s quite a character and I hope that came across in his picture.”

We also have two very close runners-up – five-month-old Alfie Tuck and nine-month-old Jack Leeson.

Well done to all the little ones who took part.

As well as having the honour of being crowned the area’s most beautiful tots, Albert, Alfie and Jack have also won a fantastic selection of canvas print prizes, worth a total of £500.

Albert’s picture will take pride of place in the family’s living room for all to see.
