So far on our tour of former Grantham businesses, all of whose signs were painted by Journal cartoonist Terry Shelboure, we’ve been for a pint at The Nag’s Head and stocked up on household essentials at The Little Dustpan.

Now it’s time to enjoy a meal at the White Rose Grill Restaurant, which used to be situated on Westgate.

Reader Yvonne Bellamy said she remembers the place well for its great steaks, while Kate Lamyman said no weekly shop with her mum was complete unless they stopped off at the White Rose for a bite to eat.
