Midwives raise thousands for charity with moonlight walk

MIDWIVES from Lincolnshire raised thousands of pounds to help fight breast cancer by taking park in a moonlight walk at the weekend.

Jo Priestley of Ancaster was one of 20 midwives from Boston Pilgrim Hospital who took part in the walk at Hyde Park in London on Saturday night.

The group raised over £3,000 with their efforts.

Jo said: “It was a huge challenge for everyone but we raised a lot of money and everyone completed it. That was the main thing.”

The team of midwives included: Jo, Amy Spinks, Jade Hardy, Abigail Higgins, Kim Barnett, Georgina Gould, Claire Ridgewell, Hannah Lambert, Roxy Stanyon, Vicki Hawkins, Jo Brearley, Charlotte Barton, Janita Wilkinson, Michaela Mitchell, Tony Barwell, Beverly Martin, Susan Fowler, Kate Sutton and Alison Monk.
