More than £17,000 confiscated from imprisoned Grantham man

A confiscation order in the amount of £17,611 was granted at Lincoln Crown Court yesterday against Andrius Jonaitis.

It follows an application by Lincolnshire Police’s Economic Crime Unit under the Proceeds of Crime Act to remove his criminal benefit.

From this money, £4,087 will be paid to two victims of his crimes by way of compensation.

On April 14 Jonaitis, from Harlaxton, Grantham was sentenced to 54 months imprisonment, following an investigation by Grantham CID in regards to conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.
