Motorcyclist seriously injured in three-vehicle crash on A52 near Grantham

A motorcyclist is in intensive care following a crash on the A52 last night.

The crash took place on a bend at around 7pm at Dembleby near Grantham. A grey Triumph 675cc motorcycle was in collision with black BMW and a white Toyota Auris.

The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old Sleaford man, was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham. He remains in intensive care in a serious but stable condition with leg and pelvic injuries. No one else was seriously hurt.

The road was closed until just after midnight.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who saw the collision or any of the vehicles being driven or ridden before the crash should call the collision witness hotline on 01522 558855 or call the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident number 378 of April 15.
