Motorist arrested in Barrowby for being more than five times over drink-drive limit

A van driver was arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of drink driving.

Police stopped the vehicle on the A1 at Barrowby after it was witnessed being driven erratically.

The driver blew 197mg on a roadside breath test and was taken into custody. The legal alcohol consumption limit for drivers is 35mgs.

A police spokesperson praised members of the public for alerting the police.

They tweeted: 'Thanks for calling these in to us, keeping these people off the roads saves lives. #LincolnARV #fatal4'.
