Motorist thrown from vehicle during crash in Long Clawson

A motorist was taken to hospital by air ambulance after being thrown from his vehicle during a crash.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Melton Road, Long Clawson, at 6.26pm yesterday (Saturday).

On arrival they found one vehicle had left the road and the occupant had been thrown from the vehicle into a field.

A thorough search was carried out for other possible casualties using a thermal imaging camera, but none were found.

The air ambulance arrived at the scene at 7.24pm. The condition of the motorist is not currently known.
