A verge opposite the entrance to food company Moy Park in Gonerby Hill Foot is to be reseeded and markers put up to stop people parking there.

A meeting between county council executive member for highways Richard Davies, highways manager Mark Heaton and site manager Jim Sands the company agreed to ask workers not to park on the verge.

Councillor Davies said: “I’m pleased that we’ve managed to resolve parking issues relating to the entrance of Moy Park, and we will continue to work with the company to make things safer for the whole community. We’ll also advise their staff on parking safely and will keep people informed on any future developments.”

The county council says highways is arranging for the whole area to be re-vamped with soil and seed and will install the marker posts to prevent parking on the verge.
