Traffic is moving slowly through part of Grantham after a burst water main flooded roads.

Water is pouring out of a main outside Great Northern Court on Sankt Augustin Way slowing traffic at the junction with Dysart Road. There is a large amount of standing water at the bottom of Dysart Road and on Sankt Augustin Way.

The AA is warning motorists to drive with car in the area as water continues to flood the roads.

Anglian Water says customers may be suffering very low water pressure or have no water at all as a result of the burst main.

A spokesman for Anglian Water said: “We’ve got a burst water main in your area which we are working hard to fix so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible. We are very sorry but some customers in Grantham may have very low water pressure or no water at all.”

The company says it is working on the main and it should be fixed by this afternoon. It said any affected customers may see some discoloured water when it comes back on but this is normal and they should keep the water running until it is clear.
