MR Andrew Button, of Victoria Street, Grantham, has died at home. He was 51.

Born in Willingham by Stow, near Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, he spent most of his childhood in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, before moving to Grantham in his teens.

He was the son of Sam and Peggy Button, brother to Glen, Susan, Chris and Ian and the much-loved father of Karl.

Mr Button spent the early part of his career working on pig farms, before starting work at Walker Steel on Spittlegate Level. He then worked at Pineapple Pine, until finally becoming a delivery driver for Downtown.

Mr Button was an avid Chelsea FC fan. He played darts for several local pub teams, including the Odd House, for which he won many trophies.

In his youth he played football for local teams. He loved singing along to his favourite band, U2, and he was a punk in his late teens.

The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland.
