MR Bryan Towns, of Victoria Street, Grantham, has died at home. He was 71.

He was born in Bicker, Lincolnshire.

In 1960 he married Jennifer and they had two children and subsequently four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jennifer predeceased him.

When he left school he went to work at Foster’s Builders, where he became a joiner and remained with the company until its closure. He was then employed by British Rail as a joiner.

Mr Towns loved to go fishing with his brother, Terry. He also enjoyed watching cricket and football and taking holidays in Spain.

The Rev June Rowland conducted the funeral service in St John’s Church, Grantham. Burial followed in Grantham cemetery.
