MR Kenneth Charles Veasey, of Hornsby Road, Grantham, has died at home. He was 75.

Mr Veasey was born in Grantham.

In 1956 he married Madeleine. They had three children, Julie, Graham and Tina and subsequently seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves an older sister, Joan.

After completing National Service, he became a motor mechanic for most of his working life. After retirement at the age of 65 and took on the post of assistant site manager at Central Technology College, finally retiring from there aged 73.

For many years he was a member of Grantham Physical Culture Club. He enjoyed keeping fit at home, cycling and walking.

He was also a keen fisherman. He enjoyed football, both watching and playing in his younger days. In 1956 he was awarded the title Mr Grantham.

The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Janet Rodgers.
