MRS Ivy Joyce Burrows, of Swadales Close, Great Gonerby, has died in Lincoln County Hospital. She was 83.
Born in Carlton Scroop, to William and Lily Cross, she was one of 11 children, having four sisters and six brothers.
She had been married to Derick and lived in Great Gonerby all her married life. Her husband predeceased her in June 2010.
Most of her working life was spent caring for children. She had been assistant matron at Sandon Lodge Children’s Home. Finally she worked at Skinner’s Butchers, from where she retired.
Her interests included gardening, crossword puzzles and watching snooker, rugby and football on the television.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for Happy Days and the local scouts.
