MRS June Sheila Hammond, of Hall Close, Ropsley, has died in St Edmunds Nursing Home, Worcester Road, Grantham. She was 74.
Mrs Hammond was born in August 1936, in Shirebrook, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The family moved to Grantham when she was a young child.
She was married to Derrick for 46 years and she also leaves a sister, Josie and brother, Barry.
On leaving school she worked at Aveling Barford, before going to work in the Knight’s family grocery business. After moving to Ropsley, she ran the village shop for them until taking on the business herself. In the evenings she worked as a cleaner at The Maltings Dentice Practice until her retirement.
Mrs Hammond enjoyed music, watching television and attending country music shows with her husband.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service in St Peter’s Church, Ropsley. Cremation followed in Grantham.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
