A VOLUNTEERS evening will be held on Wednesday and anyone interested in helping get Grantham Museum back on its feet is welcome to attend.
The group planning to re-open the museum this summer, Grantham Community Heritage Association, is looking for a range of volunteers including shop assistants, cleaners and education co-ordinators.
The event will be held at Grantham Museum and will start at 6pm. A talk will be given on the museum’s future.
Volunteers director Liz Kunen said: “The GCHA is an entirely voluntary organisation and the support of local people is absolutely essential if we are to create a viable museum. Gifting your time by volunteering for the Grantham Museum is one very special way of helping to preserve the town’s unique heritage.
“This is an exciting project for volunteers to get involved with.
There are many roles to be filled and providing people are interested and enthusiastic they do not need to have direct experience. The GCHA will also provide training to support our volunteers.”
