Off-road bikers have been causing a nuisance in the Durham Road area of Grantham, off Barrowby Gate.

The neighbourhood policing team (NPT) has received nine reports recently, and has given out two Section 59 warnings and ‘numerous stern words of advice’.

PCSO Daniel Widdowson said: “The neighbourhood policing team has managed to speak to the landowners, to make them aware, and we will also try to get them on board with us.

“We have already given out two Section 59 warnings and taken photographs of one of the bikes, as well as given numerous stern words of advice to the youths.

“The NPT will be continuing to monitor this situation and will be opening an anti-social behaviour case in regards to the ongoing concern.

“If the problem persists we will be looking at seizing bikes.”

Anyone who witnesses off-road bikers causing a nuisance is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency 101 number giving a description of the bike(s), rider(s) and direction of travel/location.
