New Sunday market set to start in Buckminster

A new Sunday market will be launching later this month with all profits being donated.

Silver Apple Furniture will be hosting their first Sunday market and hope to make it a monthly occurrence.

The market will take place on Sunday, August 22, in the Silver Apple Furniture store car park in Buckminster from 11am to 2pm.

All profits will be donated to St Johns the Baptist Church for general church and graveyard maintenance.

Organiser of the event, Caroline Darby, said: “I would like to keep it more of a craft market rather than a car boot.

“I’m trying to help promote all the local businesses.”

Alongside the furniture shop, the Silver Apple Farm Shop and tea room will also be open.

More than 10 stalls have signed up to join the event so far, but there is still plenty of space as the market will have capacity for 25 stalls.

Having a stall in the market costs £10 and people will need to bring their own table.

If you want to have a stall or find out more about the market you should call Caroline at 07708365057.
