Obituary: Mr A. V. Marshall

MR Alan Vincent Marshall, of Cobleas, Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, has died at home. He was 64.

Born in the post office, Harston, he was the younger son of the late Mr and Mrs Lionel Marshall of Harston. He is survived by a daughter and son.

Mr Marshall was an agricultural engineer and worked for a number of years at Chandlers of Grantham, followed by self-employment.

He was a great lover of the countryside and latterly spent a great deal of time walking in the countryside around Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir. He also enjoyed a game of darts and dominoes and spending time with others.

The funeral service was held at St Michael and All Angels Church, Harston, conducted by the Rev Beverley Stark. Burial followed in Harston churchyard.
