Mr Keith William Shaw, of Kingsbury Way, Hull, has died.
Born in Grantham in February 1946, he was the eldest son of the late Douglas and Joan Shaw of Grantham and brother to Beryl and Barry and the late Jean.
He leaves two children, Joanne and Christopher.
After leaving school at the age of 15 he became a tree surgeon. He later worked in maintenance at BMARC and Coles Cranes, before joining the Lincolnshire Fire Brigade as a retained fireman in 1974. Mr Shaw rose up the ranks to sub officer level.
He had also worked at Anglian Water. He retired in 2009, having worked as an HGV driver.
Mr Shaw’s interests included fishing, darts, gardening, dancing and socialising.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland.
