Mr Paul David Green, of Woffindin Close, Great Gonerby, has died at home. He was 60.

Born in Grantham, he was the eldest son of Eric and Joan and brother to John, Janet, Denise and Diane.

He was father to Lisa and Jason, and grandfather to Nathan and Sophie. He was married to Janice, whom he met while living in Spain.

On leaving school he became a silver service waiter the Angel and Royal Hotel in Grantham. Later he worked at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa.

Mr Green then became a plasterer and built up a very successful family business with his brother John, called P and J Plastering.

He had a wide range of interests including bodybuilding, scuba diving, gamekeeping and continental travel. In his later years he had a passion for his garden and classic cars. He loved his dogs, Skye, Ollie and Mimi and socialising with his family and friends.

The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Andrew Key.

Funeral arrangements were by Co-operative Funeralcare, Bridge End Road, Grantham.
