Mrs Edith Jane Rickett, of Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 97.

Born in Grantham, she was the daughter of the late William and Lottie Bond. She had two sisters and four brothers and is survived by her brother, Jack.

Married to Cecil, who predeceased her in 1975, she has three children, John, and twins Sue and Jane.

In her younger days she worked in a children’s home. In later life she worked at Belvoir Castle, retiring at the age of 75.

Mrs Rickett enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, wordsearch puzzles and bingo.

Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
