Obituary: Mrs Helen Bond

Mrs Helen Bond, of Corby, Northamptonshire, has died in Nottingham City Hospital. She was 28.

Born in Grantham Hospital on August 26, 1986, she was the daughter of Barry and Janet Turner.

She lived in Grantham with her parents, sisters Sally and Carole and twin brother, Martin.

Mrs Bond was the granddaughter of Doreen Towning and Irene Turner.

On October 26, 2013, she married David Bond in Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales. She became step-mum to Ashton Bond and she moved to Corby.

She was educated at Belmont Primary School, Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School, Grantham College (where she was Student of the Year) and Lincoln University, where she gained a degree in psychology.

Mrs Bond was involved in scouting and ran a beaver colony. She also enjoyed reading, cross stitch and playing Scrabble with her grandma.

A fund-raiser for Cystic Fibrosis, one of her charity events included a skydive with her twin brother. Mrs Bond was always smiling and she liked to help other people, despite coping with cystic fibrosis herself.

The Rev Chris Boland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel. A guard of honour was provided by the Scout Association.
