Mrs Iris Turner, of Alford Street, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 86.

Born in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, she had five sisters and one brother, who have all predeceased her.

She has four children, Moira, Brian, Kevin and Caroline, children-in-law Gerald, Laurie and Caroline, grandchildren Lee, Oliver, Lisa and Claire and great-grandchildren, Seb, Owen and Thomas.

Mrs Turner worked as a domestic help in the kitchens at the Masonic Hall and Belton House.

She enjoyed days out with members of the stroke club and always enjoyed playing bingo. She liked to collect fridge magnets and she loved seeing her three great-grandsons.

Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Moira and Gerald Savage, Brian and Laurie Turner, Kevin and Caroline Turner, Caroline Turner, Lisa Green, Claire Green, Oliver Turner, Lee and Amanda Collett, Sebastian Collett and Michael Green.

Other mourners included: Eric Taylor, Mr and Mrs Denton, Jacky Elvy, Mary Down, Pat Parke, Chris Stimpson, Josie Goulsbra, Jane Arndt, Pamela Turner, Cliff Turner, Joanne Jordan, Malc and Brenda Tilford, David Cranham, Dave Wilson, Mrs Tiernan, June Willmer, Sue Wydra Marlene Scothern, Marie Scothern and John and Carol Dobney.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
