Obituary: Mrs Margaret Cecilia Fisk
Mrs Margaret Cecilia Fisk, of Grantham Road, Great Gonerby, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 68.
Born in Wymondham, she was the daughter of Gwen and Jock Black and sister of David and Andrew.
She married Tim Fisk on August 27 1966, and they lived in Great Gonerby. They have three sons, Stuart, Robert and Nathan.
In 1978 they moved to Hougham, where they fostered children.
The couple returned to Great Gonerby in 1992 to be near parents.
Mrs Fisk had nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild and she enjoyed family get-togethers.
After leaving school she worked at Chambers for a short while. She was then employed in the offices at Ruston and Hornsby.
When her children were small she worked for her brother, Andrew for many years. Her final employment was at Cappel’s from where she retired aged 60.
Mrs Fisk enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved village life and was a churchgoer.
She was treasurer and fund-raiser for the Marie Curie fund-raising group for Grantham. Her other interests were reading and painting.
The funeral service was held at St Sebastian’s Church, Great Gonerby, conducted by the Rev Peter Hopkins. Cremation followed in Grantham.
