Obituary: Mrs N. M. Hadlow

Mrs Nicola Margaret Hadlow (nee Matchett), of Harlaxton Road, Grantham, has died at home. She was 51.

Born in the police house in Great Ponton, in September 1961, she was the daughter Diana and the late Bernard Matchett.

She was educated at Great Ponton School, then Huntingtower School in Grantham, and finally at the girls’ high school.

Initially she worked for insurance brokers Spruth Mayer and then PTR, until health issues no longer made this possible.

In 1982 she met her future husband, Pete and they married in October 1984. The couple lived in Harlaxton Road.

Mrs Matchett’s interests included cats, bats, horses, photography, vintage books, flying kites and model helicopters. She was involved with the British Model Flying Assocation’s national championships for 30 years as trade secretary.

The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland.

Donations were received for the air ambulance.
