Obituary.

Mrs Pamela June Palethorpe, of Brick Kiln Place, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 72.

Born in Aisby, she was the daughter of Rachel and James Short. She grew up in Grantham, where she attended primary and secondary school.

In 1958 she met Terence and they were married in 1960.

In 1972 they adopted Gemma and two years later they adopted David.

She is grandmother to Naomi, Tania, Zoe and Jessica and great-grandmother to Alfie.

Mrs Palethorpe had worked as a hairdresser at Barbara Dove’s salon in Castlegate and at Scottie’s on London Road, Grantham.

She enjoyed cross-stitch and knitting.

Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Terence Palethorpe, Naomi Rivers, Tania Rivers, Nigel and Diane Rivers, Derrick Chambers, Steven and Helena Chambers and Thomas Brewin.

Other mourners included: Christine and Gordon Herbert, Ted Parnham, Christine Barnes, Samuel Jepson, Wayne Lloyd, Zena and Tony Johnson, John Clark, Carole Embling, John and Christine Shotliff, John and Kathleen Potterton, Jean Doubleday, Lindsey Phillips, Emma Harrington, Debbie Rogers, Annette Smart, Paul Smart, Janet Curtis, Liz Ridlington, Sylvia Cranfield, Ann-Marie Whittle, Stacey Widdowson, Kelly Sayle, Lisa Waters and Nicola Smith.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for Grantham Critical Care Unit.
