Mrs Rose Ada Smith, of Church View, Great Gonerby, has died in Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. She was 91.
Born in Syston, she spent her early years in Marston.
When she was four years old her mother died and she was brought up by her father John Russell. She had one brother, John, who has predeceased her.
Mrs Smith worked at Kerrs Farm, where she met her future husband Norman. She spent most of her married life in Great Gonerby and they had three children, Michael, Ronald and Janet. She has nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Over the years she had many interests including knitting, making tapestries, bingo, whist, outings and many holidays in the UK.
Mrs Smith loved to spend time with her family and many friends.
The Rev Ian Mason conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.
