Obituary: Mrs Ruth Whitehouse

Mrs Ruth Whitehouse, of Barrowby, has died in Johnson Community Hospital, Spalding. She was 90.

She was born in Scamblesby, near Horncastle. In 1958 she moved to Grantham.

Mrs Whitehouse worked at Aveling Barford, where she met her first husband Ron Freeman.

She later worked at Grantham Children’s Home for 18 years.

Mr Freeman predeceased her in 1987.

She later met and married Stan Whitehouse, who had been widowed.

Mrs Whitehouse regularly attended Manthorpe Church, Harlaxton Friendship Club and the Probus Club.

The funeral service was held at St John’s Church, Manthorpe. Cremation followed in Grantham.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
