Ms Shirley Woods, of Honington Road, Barkston, has died at home. She was 73.
Born in Newark, Nottinghamshire, in 1940, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Faye Woods and one of six children.
She has three daughters, Jacqueline, Michelle and Melanie and five grandchildren, Charlotte, Katie, Helen, Andrew and Robert.
Ms Woods had a variety of jobs which included being a machinist in a clothing factory; a farm worker; shop work, and a home help before finding her vocation in nursing, working as a nursing auxiliary until her retirement.
Her interests included gardening, swimming and walking her dog and she had a lifelong love of animals.
The funeral service was held at St Nicholas Church, Barkston, conducted by Lillian Hall. Burial took place in Barkston.

Funeral arrangements were by Co-operative Funeralcare, Bridge End Road, Grantham.
