Official figures show we have the fewest number of police officers and the least funding

LINCOLNSHIRE Police has the fewest number of police officers and is the worst funded in the country.

Our police force has the fewest number of officers per 1,000 people served in the country - putting it dead last in the 43-force league table.

Lincolnshire Police has just 1.65 officers for every 1,000 people in the county. At the opposite end Metropolitan Police has 4.17 officers for every 1,000 people.

Lincolnshire Police has 1,151 officers - ahead only of Warwickshire and City of London, while the Metropolitan Police has 32,320.

Lincolnshire Police is also dead last in the amount spent on policing per head of the population. Just £166.25 is spent per person in Lincolnshire while in Cleveland it is £245.67 and £232.71 in London.
