Outline permission to use the site of the former Aveland High School in Billingborough for residential development has been approved subject to conditions by South Kesteven District Council.

The application, put forward by Lincolnshire County Council, also proposes that the school playing field be used as a community space. The application was previously heard by SKDC in July last year, but deferred because agreement was needed over transferral of the land to Billingborough Parish Council, and for LCC to carry out required upgrades.

Exact details on the housing to be created is subject to a further application, with 25 homes currently envisaged.
