Have your say

AS a member of a Rotary club, you have the opportunity to give something back, locally, nationally and internationally, to give hope to those less fortunate and to make lives worthwhile and fulfilled.

The enormous sense of achievement you will experience doing something really worthwhile will be matched only by the enormous amount of fun you will have! You will be working, socialising and networking with like-minded people who have the same interests and aims as you - so teamwork is important.

You will make firm friends, you will learn valuable new skills and grow as a person, and you will be sure of a warm welcome from other Rotarians around the world whenever you are on your travels.

As a Rotarian, there is a vast array of things you can get involved in, from organising events and competitions, supporting local charities and developing young people, to assisting with disaster relief and even eradicating diseases such as polio worldwide. Being involved in Rotary, you are working alongside the businesses in the local community, local charities and the local schools at all levels.

Rotary is open to men and women. Supporting the Rotary Club at some of the events, and indeed organising their own events, are the ladies of Inner Wheel who were originally made up of the partners of Rotarians.

On a recent visit to Grantham, the President of Rotary in Britain & Ireland, Ray Burman praised the work done by the Clubs in Grantham describing it as “showing Rotary at its best”.
