Top marks for pre-school near Grantham

Ofsted has given top marks to the White House Farm Day Nursery at Sedgebrook.

Inspectors rated it â outstandingâ across all categories, including its management, teaching, personal development and outcomes for children.

They said: â Staff are highly skilled and have a deep understanding of how children learn. They plan exceptionally well for all areas of learning and the individual needs of children.â

Ofsted also praised the nurseryâ s â highly stimulating outdoor environmentâ which allows â a wide range of inspiring activities.â

â Children have very strong emotional bonds with staff. Even the youngest children demonstrate high levels of independence and children are extremely confident.â

â The provider and staff are extremely driven to ensure that the nursery is always developing its practice to maintain its excellent standards. If children require additional support, this is identified and addressed very swiftly. As a result, all children make very good or rapid progress within short periods of time.â

The nursery in Village Street has been registered since 2009. It employs 18 staff for its 64 places and roll of

138 children.

Owner/manager Clare Walker commented: â We are all extremely happy and proud of our Ofsted report. We feel it truly reflects the nursery and the inspector captured the ethos of the nursery perfectly.

â We are particularly proud of our â amazing team who provide children with fantastic opportunities and ensure that children thrive and receive the very best early years educationâ .

â Having the leadership and management referred to as â truly inspiringâ is a real compliment and something we are immensely proud of.

â During the inspection the inspector noted how confident and happy the children were and said their â thirst for learning was incredible.â

She added: â We are planning a staff night out to celebrate which we are sure will be a quiet and civilised affair.â
