A woman who lost her cat when she was involved in an accident on the A1 near Easton on Christmas Day is hoping her pet may still be in the area.

Diane Francis, who lives in Stockton-on-Tees, says there have been possible new sightings of her cat, Phoebe, following the original story in the Journal in January. Phoebe’s box was damaged in the accident and she ran away.

Diane, who often travels to Stevenage to look after relatives, says volunteers went searching on Boxing Day and there was lots of support from local businesses including Park Lodge, Easton Walled Gardens, local vets, the RSPCA and Cats Protection.

Anybody who may know where Phoebe is can contact Diane at dfrancis0258@gmail.com
