Plans for a new visitors centre in Wyndham Park in Grantham will go before the district council.

South Kesteven District Council plans to demolish the old plant room by the boating lake in the park to make way for the new centre. Its plans also include the refurbishment of the old ticket office and changing rooms and the relining of the boating lake which most recently has been used by the model boat club.

Wyndham Park received a development grant of £117,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2014 and it is hoped ambitious plans for the park will mean its receives a further grant of £875.900 to see those plans through.

The visitors centre will be an information point within the park and will be a central point for training, activities and events. Facilities will also include toilets, workshop area, a main visitor area and an area for use by schools.
