Poachers butcher deer in countryside near Grantham

Police news.
Police news.

Lincolnshire Police say that in recent weeks there have been reports of sightings of likely poachers in the rural areas surrounding Grantham.

PCSO Stuart Bowden of Grantham Rural South added: “There have also been reports of deer remains indicating that an animal has been killed and butchered at the location.

“Poaching of animals has regularly taken place in the area but is often under reported, I encourage all poaching incidents to be reported via the 101 number.

“It may appear that there is little information or detail for police to follow up at the time, but it can indicate a trend or targeted location which the police can specifically monitor.”
