Police end investigation into death of man who fell from cherry picker at Grantham firm

Police are no longer investigating the death of a man who fell off a cherry picker at a Grantham firm.

The man, aged 64, died on Thursday, February 18, at Fruehauf, a tipper trailer manufacturer in Houghton Road.

The investigation has been passed on to the Health and Safety Executive.

Detective inspector Simon Bromiley, of Lincolnshire Police, said: “We have been investigating the death of a man following an industrial accident at Fruehauf in Grantham on February 18.

“As a result of those enquiries we are satisfied that no criminal offences are evident. We are preparing a report for HM Coroner with assistance from HSE who will be taking primacy of the enquiry.”
