Police investigate after man touches teen on Grantham bus

A report has been made to police about an incident of sexual touching where an elderly man repeatedly touched a 14-year-old girl’s leg while on the bus.

Police have been informed that it took place when the male sat next to the teenager on the Grantham to Lincoln bus which she got on at 9.10am on Friday, October 2.

At some point during the journey an elderly man also got on the bus and sat next to her at the back. He then repeatedly touched the young girl’s leg despite her asking him not to.

He is described as being in his 70s, wearing beige chino trousers, a tartan flat cap and had a gold watch on his right wrist. It is not known exactly when he got on the bus but the young girl did notice he was onboard at Barkston.

Officers are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed anything or who recognises the man described. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 105 of 02/10/2015.
