Police investigate possible link between burglaries in Ropsley, Syston and Morton

Police news.
Police news.

An investigation is underway into three separate burglaries, all of which occurred on Monday, September 21.

Each of the houses involved is a detached bungalow and entry was gained via a rear window on each occasion. One was thought to have been left insecure.

Properties at The Drift in Syston, The Paddock in Morton, and Crown Hill in Ropsley were all targeted between the hours of around 1.45pm and 7pm.

The suspect, seen by residents at two of the incidents, is described as a white male, possibly quite short and dressed in dark clothing. It is thought he may be aged between 40 and 50. Officers are investigating whether each burglary and offender is linked. It is thought that a silver car, possibly the size and shape of a Ford Mondeo, might have been involved.

Investigating officers are carrying out a number of enquiries in relation to each incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything in relation to the incidents.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting either incident 215 (Syston), 391 (Morton), or 312 (Ropsley), all of September 21.
