Police investigate shed break-ins in villages around Grantham

By Grantham Reporter

Police are asking shed owners to be vigilant after a number of sheds were broken into last week.

Two sheds were broken into on Low Road, Barrowby, overnight on Thursday with a number of tools, electrical items and decorating tools being taken in the two separate incidents.

Another shed was also broken into on the same night in Great Gonerby but no items were taken.

A spokesperson from Lincolnshire Police said: "We are investigating a series of shed burglaries in the area. These occurred overnight on February 21. We would ask the public to remain vigilant and if they have witnessed any suspicious behaviour or break-ins to contact us on 101.

"Thefts from insecure sheds are common. By the nature of their design, it is difficult to make sheds completely secure, especially if someone is determined to gain access. If you store valuables or tools in them, you should secure these as well."
