Police launch attempted murder investigation after serious assault at Grantham house




Police have launched an attempted murder investigation following an incident at an address in Grantham last night.

Officers are asking for witnesses to contact them following an altercation at the address in Finkin Street on Saturday evening.

Six women and three men, aged between 28 and 52, were arrested for an offence of attempted murder. Police were called to Cranwell House at 10.35pm.

A 38 year old man received a non-life threatening puncture wound to his abdomen. Police are at the address today with scenes of crime officers.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "Those arrested will be interviewed today (Sunday) as the investigation continues but at this stage the incident seems to have been restricted to the group of people who were arrested.

"We would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or knows anything about it to contact us on 101 quoting incident reference 581, September 21."
