Police name Harby man killed in road collision in Long Clawson

Police have named a driver who died in a road collision in Long Clawson.

Kenneth James Draper (81), from Harby, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision which happened at around 12.50pm on Monday, September 21 on Waltham Lane, about 500 metres from the junction with Clawson Lane.

Two vehicles, a black Citroen Saxo and a green Land Rover Discovery, were involved in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were treated at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Detective Constable 4406 Kath Orr is investigating the incident. She would like to speak with anyone who was in the area and saw the collision or either of the vehicles being driven beforehand. Contact her on 101 if you can help.
