Police respond to report of man with a knife in Grantham park




Police were called to a park in Grantham yesterday afternoon after reports of a man with a knife.

Officers responded at 4.21pm yesterday after they were told about a male with a knife in Wyndham Park.

Police say no weapon was found. A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "We carried out a search of the male and the local area. No weapon was located. No offence was recorded."

The incident came almost a week after an unprovoked attack on a man in broad daylight in Brook Street, leaving the victim seriously injured.

On the same day two brothers, aged 16 and 19, were punched and kicked by a group of men in the Tesco Express car park in Harrowby Lane.
