Police suspicious about scrap metal dealers in Grantham

Police news.
Police news.

Lincolnshire Police are warning residents about a vehicle linked with scrap metal collection which has been seen in the area.

The vehicle had two males in it, both estimated to be aged between 30 and 40 years old. The older male is described as somewhat unkempt and untidy, while the other, younger male was better presented in casual clothing.

If anyone has had callers at the door asking for scrap, or seen a Ford tipper or flatbed transit size vehicle in the area this morning, from about 8am to noon today, call 101.

Police also advise residents to check homes and gardens to ensure everything is present and correct, and that there are no signs of disturbance in the garden or indication of attempts to gain entry into houses and outbuildings.
