Rogue traders have been targeting people in Long Bennington, offering to tarmac their driveways.

Lincolnshire Police say the traders were in the village on November 23 offering to do the work for a small price, but once the tarmac has been laid the price goes up into thousands of pounds. They police say if these traders do not receive the money they will make phone calls to the property until the money is paid up.

A police spokesman said: “Please do not agree a price or have any work carried out by these people. Contact Trading Standards and the police with as much detail you may have obtained.”
