Police wrap up attempted murder investigation in Grantham after nine arrested




Police say they will take no further action after they arrested nine people as part of an attempted murder investigation.

The investigation was launched following an incident on Saturday night, September 21, when a 38-year-old man received a puncture wound to his abdomen at an address in Finkin Street, Grantham. Police were called to the incident at Cranwell House at 10.35pm.

Six women and three men, aged between 28 and 52, were arrested for an offence of attempted murder. They were later released on bail after questioning.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "The nine arrested as part of the Finkin Street investigation have now been released with no further action. The investigation has now concluded."

Scenes of crime officers were in Finkin Street the day after the incident.

The injured man was taken to Queen's Medical Centre. His injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
